Sign up to enter your boat in the
ROYAL ROSARIAN MILK CARTON BOAT RACE
on June 25, 2023, fifty years after the first race in 1973!
Location: The Casting Pond in Westmoreland Park, SE McLoughlin Blvd and Bybee Blvd,
7530 SE 22nd Ave., Portland Oregon

Hosted by the Royal Rosarians
Presenting Sponsor - Alpenrose
Contributing Sponsor - Oregon State Marine Board

The Royal Rosarians Milk Carton Boat Race offers a Sunday filled with family-friendly entertainment and some spirited competition. Children and adults race and show off handmade boats that float only using recycled milk cartons and jugs. We invite you to come and enjoy the fun!

NEXT ADVENTURE has just donated a paddle for the winning boat in each class, and when you register to enter, you will get a discount on your Next Adventure online purchase.

These racers got help at the first Milk Carton Boat Building workshop on May 20th at the Moreland Presbyterian Church. It was a lot of fun for the racers and volunteers involved. Bill Walters is helping Sabira Marike to make the frame of her unique entry. Paul Wroe and Bill Caisse worked together to make their craft for Paul to race.

Did you miss getting to race a milk carton boat when you were a kid? It's never too late to get your bucket list completed! Do it this year and help Sunshine Division get milk donated by Alpenrose Dairy.
  PADDLE TO PREVENT HUNGER
Alpenrose will donate milk to the Sunshine Division, equal to the number of milk cartons used to create all boats entered. Be prepared to tell the inspector the number of milk cartons you used to build your entry when you register! Sunshine Division barrels will be on site to receive non-perishable donations.
Bill is racing on his boat, which has 174 cartons, 138 half gallons, and 36 paper quarts.
Join Bill, Sabira, Paul, and the other eighteen racers who have already signed up this year
to "PADDLE TO PREVENT HUNGER."
